MAD respects your privacy and places great importance on the protection of your personal data. We make every effort to ensure your privacy and therefore handle personal data carefully.

MAD complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Specifically:

  • We process your personal data in accordance with the purpose for which it was provided. These purposes and types of personal data are described in this privacy statement; 
  • We limit the processing of personal data to only those data that are minimally necessary for a proper transaction; 
  • We ask for your explicit consent when necessary for the processing of your personal data; 
  • We have taken a number of appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of your personal data; 
  • We do not disclose personal data to third parties, unless necessary for the execution of the purposes for which they were provided;

Why do we process personal data?

We process your personal data for the following purposes and legal grounds:

  • To participate in our performances (execution of transaction) 
  • To inform active customers about similar products via direct marketing (legitimate interest) 
  • Sending newsletters, thematic mailings, and invitations (consent of the data subject) 
  • Obtaining subsidies from the government (legal obligation)

What personal data is involved?

For the above purposes, we may ask for and process the following personal data:

  • Personal identity information: name, first name, address, telephone number, email 
  • Government-issued identity information: identity card number or national registry number 
  • Personal characteristics: gender, date of birth, place of birth, and nationality

We use the collected data only for the purposes for which we obtained the data.

You can also manage the direct marketing settings and subscription to our newsletter in your customer profile.

Provision to third parties

We may provide the data you give us to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the purposes described above.

We use a third party for:

  • Providing the internet environment (web hosting) 
  • Providing IT infrastructure (including IT network, ticket software, etc.)
  •  Providing (and distributing) newsletters and invitations

We have made the necessary agreements with these parties to ensure the security of your personal data. We never provide personal data to other parties with whom we have not concluded a processing agreement.

We will not disclose the data you provide to other parties, unless required by law or permitted.

We may also share personal data with third parties if you give us permission to do so. This occurs, among other things, in co-productions, such as Circuscentrum or Ell Circo D'ell Fuego, or for tickets that we sell on behalf of third parties.

You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing before the withdrawal.

We do not provide personal data to parties located outside the EU.

We only process personal data of minors (individuals under 16 years of age) if written consent has been given by the parent or legal representative.

Retention period

MAD does not retain personal data for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was provided, or as required by law. As a general rule, we keep personal data for a maximum of 5 years after the last purchased performance.

Data security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unlawful processing, including:

  • All persons who can access your data on behalf of MAD are bound to confidentiality; 
  • We use a username and password policy on all our systems; 
  • We pseudonymize and ensure the encryption of personal data if there is a reason to do so; 
  • We make backups of personal data to be able to restore it in case of physical or technical incidents; 
  • We regularly test and evaluate our measures; 
  • Our employees are informed about the importance of protecting personal data.

Your rights regarding your data

You have the right to access and correct or delete the personal data we have received from you.

At the top of this privacy statement, you can find how to contact us. To verify your identity, we ask you to include a copy of your identity card. We strongly recommend that you make your passport photo invisible and mention that it is a copy.

You can also object to the processing of your personal data (or part thereof) by us or by one of our processors. You also have the right to have the data you provided transferred by us to you (or directly to another party at your request). We may ask you to identify yourself before we can respond to the above requests.

Photo and video recordings

MAD takes photo and video recordings before, during, and/or after performances for internal use on our online media, such as Facebook, Instagram, and the website.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, we ask you to contact us directly. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commission, which is the supervisory authority in the field of privacy protection.

Corona

The government's coronavirus measures require us to request the names of all members of a group when purchasing tickets. This information is only used for contact tracing in case of a coronavirus infection. We keep the data for thirty days after the concert. After that, the data will be permanently deleted.

Changes to the privacy statement

MAD may change its privacy statement. We will announce this change on our website.
