Ki No Nagare

Collectif Malunés & Arne Sabbe

'Ki no nagare' is a compelling circus performance in which strength and agility meet. Partner acrobatics merge with circular, continuous movements inspired by the Japanese martial art of Aikido. Based on the principles of Aikido, three artists explore how letting go, acceptance and cooperation lead to balance and trust.

Two contrasting acrobats — a burly man and a slender man — engage in an intense, wordless physical dialogue, while pulsating taiko and drum rhythms carry and amplify their movements.

'Ki no nagare' is a warm and accessible show in which contrasts fade and the search for inner and mutual harmony takes centre stage. Where Japanese martial arts and acrobatics meet, an invitation to move with the flow.
