Right before MAD Festival 2025 the duo Som Noise had a residency in Het Oude Badhuis. After a fruitful week of research, they held a try-out of their newest performance hybr-ID.

Thaïs and Matti of Som Noise explore the boundaries within circus and sound, making music with suspended instruments in motion, and performing acrobatics tangled up in electronic wires and speakers. hybr-ID is a laboratory of gravity, suspension, vibration and movement among bodies of speakers, of cables, and of humans. 

The contours between identity and materiality, between organic and electronic, get dissolved and hybridize: who is what, and why does the human dominate the thing? We surrender to pleasure, hypnosis and the absurdity of humanity.
