How can I order tickets?

From February 8th at 10 AM, you can order your tickets online through this website. Add all the performances you want to see to your shopping cart and complete the payment at the end of the process. Payment methods include Bancontact/Mistercash, credit card, or iDEAL. Afterward, you will receive your e-tickets as a PDF in your confirmation email.

You can also purchase tickets at the ticket counter of Arenberg. A staff member is available every Wednesday from 1 PM to 5 PM to assist you.

The same friendly staff members are also available by phone every Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 03 202 46 46 to assist with purchasing tickets.

Am I entitled to a discount with my A-card?

If you have an A-card with 'kansentarief', you will receive a discount on a selection of performances. The ticket price will then be €2 for MAD Generation, Humans 2.0, Da Capo and En attendant le grand soir. The tickets are limited in number.

To order such tickets online, select price category 'kansentarief', select the number of tickets and enter your A-card number(s). If this price category doesn't appear, you can not (/no longer) order tickets at reduced rate.

You can also order tickets at reduced rate via mail or at the Arenberg ticket desk during opening hours (Wednesday from 1 pm to 5 pm). This discount cannot be combined with other discounts.

Can I take my pet along?

Elephants and lions have been banned from the circus for quite some time now. Dogs are welcome on the festival grounds but must be kept on a leash. Dogs are not allowed in the circus tents or during performances, with the exception of service dogs and guide dogs.

Can I take my child(ren) along?

Certainly, as long as they all have their own ticket. Please respect the minimum age indicated for the shows, as specified in our program overview. Bringing children that are too young to performances can be disruptive to the audience and the artists.

Are the venues accessible to wheelchair users?

Nearly all MAD locations are accessible to wheelchair users. This applies to the tent performances at the festival site, the open air shows in Park Spoor Noord ánd the location performances at Oude Badhuis and service centre Essenhof. Only the shows by Be Flat at the Divi-Divi workshop and community centre Elegast are exeptionally not accessible to wheelchair users.
If you come to the festival in a wheelchair or have limited mobility, please let us know in advance, and we can reserve a suitable spot for you.
Parking is easiest in the underground parking of the nearby hospital, ZNA Cadix.

I had tickets to a show, but I really have to water my plants.
Can I get a refund?

Sold tickets are not taken back or exchanged, except in case of cancellations. Of course, you can always resell your ticket(s) yourself (without profit margin) via www.ticketswap.be.

Can I sit next to my boyfriend/girlfriend/lover/dentist?

Our seats are not numbered, so feel free to choose where you want to sit (or who you'd prefer to stay away from). Make sure to arrive on time so you can comfortably pick your spot together.

I'm fashionably late. Can I still get in?

To avoid disrupting our performers, we do not admit latecomers once the show has started. Make sure to arrive on time, preferably about half an hour in advance, so you have time to enjoy a drink. Latecomers are not entitled to a refund or any other compensation.

All those tricks make me hungry. Can I bring my picnic?

At the festival site, there's a delightful selection of food trucks, and of course, you can always visit our MAD Café for drinks and snacks – perhaps even an unexpected circus show. Therefore, we kindly ask you not to bring your own food or drinks to the shows. Bringing your own water bottle is, of course, allowed.

Where can I find the lost and found?

Lost or found item? Inquire at our information desk to check if something has been found or to hand in a found item. MAD Festival is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to property.
And remember: children left unattended will be sold to the circus!
