'GLORIOUS BODIES' is a touching and hopeful performance about the resilience of our bodies and one of the last taboos in the circus world: aging. Acrobats are elite athletes and typically stop intense training at a certain age. How does their body transform, and how do they handle the confrontation with their own impermanence?
Six acrobats, aged between 53 and 67, all with a background in more traditional circus, rediscover the spotlight under the direction of Piet van Dycke. They present an often impressive mix of partner acrobatics and dance, demonstrating with gray charm and a healthy dose of humor that there is no age limit to what the human body can achieve.
