La Spire
Compagnie Rhizome - Chloé Moglia
An impressive steel spiral arises in an open field. Three consecutive loops, seven meters high each and a total of eighteen meters long, set the stage for a dazzling dance that proves power and tenderness can indeed go hand in hand. With attention to detail, to each other, and to their surroundings, six female acrobats move up and down, from left to right and back again, in a choreograhpy that deftly combines suspension and suspense.
With 'La Spire,' Chloé Moglia presents a hypnotic and acrobatic performance about femininity and vulnerability, mercilessly dismantling prejudices about the collision between strength and grace. In the 'in between' of the spiral, all movements carry both a physical and emotional weight, further enhanced by the live music of another female artist. Every gesture, every breath shapes the course of the performance. Let yourself be carried away into infinity.
