Living Atelier

Be Flat

Circus where you wouldn't expect it, that's 'Living': in the hallways of the senior centre, in your favourite pub, the local library, or even your own living room or your neighbour's. Be Flat settles in with a handful of acrobats, musicians and actors to show you your familiar surroundings in a whole new light.

This Ghent-based circus group brings a mix of urban sports, circus and live music in each location they perform. As a result, every show is a unique composition which lets the audience experience circus in front row seats. 'Living' consists of three different performances in different locations around the festival grounds. The two other chapters take place in a residential care centre where the residents become part of the spectacle and a community centre for young people with a turbulent home situation. This third part invites the audience into a set workshop that creates the craziest constructions for theater, film, and circus.

The three shows can be watched separately, but there's definitely added value in seeing all of them. You'll never experience your surroundings from the same perspective again.
